Registration Now Open for the 1st Annual COPE Conference on Weight Management!

Registration is now open for the 1st annual COPE conference on Weight Management!
The theme of the conference is communication.  How do healthcare providers - dietiticians, nurses, physicians, fitness professionals broach the delicate subject of a client's weight?
Studies have shown that when health providers communicate to overweight and obese patients, it positively influences the patients’ perceptions of the impact that excess weight may have on their health.  This conference features evidence-based research and practical ideas to communicate with patients of varying age and ethnicity about their weight status. The preconference workshop provides training on motivational interviewing skills for primary care settings.  Learn how to help your patients improve their weight and health.
